Hypoxia and angiogenesis

Researchers at our laboratory study the mechanisms involved in the stability / degradation of mRNA of the HIF-1 protein. This protein is regulated by hypoxia in tumors rapidly proliferating. Because HIF-1 induces the transcription of the major gene for angiogenesis, VEGF, this study will contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms of tumor angiogenesis and therapeutic applications in the treatment of cancer.
