EGEVE, a clinical trial in search of an early biological marker of preeclampsia.

In collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University Hospital of Grenoble and with the Clinical Investigation Center of Grenoble, we initiated in July 2011, a clinical trial entitled EGEVE.

Published on 12 March 2012
500 pregnant women will be included in the study to assess whether the serum level of the angiogenic factor EG-VEGF measured at 14 to 18 weeks of pregnancy can predict the occurrence of pre-eclampsia in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Having an early predictive marker of this disease would greatly improve the medical follow-up of the women at risk during their pregnancy.
