Towards a blood test for detecting the hereditary angioedema attack


Researchers at the laboratory have shown that the dosage of VE-cadherin, a major protein of intercellular jouctions could be used as a marker for hereditary angioedema attack for better care of people with this condition. These researchers have shown that, for a same patient, the circulating levels of this protein appeared to be dependent on the presence or absence of an angioedema crisis.​
